Sheila Spicehandler, CRPS, APMA, MBA, is Senior Vice President at Merritt Point Wealth Advisors. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Sheila provides high net worth clients with financial advice, helping them accumulate and preserve their assets while addressing their liabilities and unique circumstances. She gains tremendous satisfaction knowing she is helping her clients achieve their personal dreams and goals, making them feel more confident about their financial future.

Sheila has a disciplined approach to helping her clients. She prides herself on asking detailed questions that other advisors may not have asked and exploring all areas of a client’s financial life. She does all of this to make the client feel confident about their financial decisions. Sheila has various areas of focus, including Wealth Preservation Strategies, Retirement Planning Strategies, Investments, Women’s Financial Strategies, Tax Planning Strategies, and Estate Planning Strategies.

Another area of expertise for Sheila is assisting women in transitional situations, such as separation, divorce, and widowhood — providing them with the guidance and caring attention they require in order to develop an Investment plan to prepare for their future. Sheila’s work with transitioning women inspired her to found the Woman-to-Woman Network, an organization that helps suddenly single women navigate the complexities of their new financial, psychological, and legal challenges.

Sheila received two degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her B.S. in Economics from the Wharton Undergraduate School and her MBA in Business from the Wharton Business School.

Sheila began her career as a Financial Advisor working for Smith Barney in 1998, where she remained until 2011. She then joined Pell Wealth Partners, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services as a Senior Vice President in Rye Brook, New York. Most recently, in February 2020, Sheila joined Cutler Andrews Capital Management, which is now Merritt Point Wealth Advisors.

Sheila lives in Chappaqua, New York, and is very involved in her local community. She serves as chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee of Temple Beth El, also of Chappaqua. Sheila is a Board Member of the Penn Club of Westchester & Rockland Counties, and is on Hadassah Westchester’s Executive Board. Sheila is also an active member of the Westchester Jewish Council Board of Directors.

Sheila is a proud mother of two adult children, Andrew and Lauren, and a proud grandmother of five young grandchildren. Sheila loves traveling and exploring the world; she recently visited Bali and Cuba. Some of her hobbies include attending New York City theater, reading, and solving puzzles.
