    Ross Bauer is Founder and Managing Partner of Merritt Point Wealth Advisors. He is the group’s Principal and is a Fundamental Choice Portfolio Manager. Specializing in comprehensive investment planning, asset allocation, and alternative investment solutions, Ross works with individuals and families to help them achieve their long-term financial goals. 

    Many of the clients that Ross works with receive tax-sensitive compensation including but not limited to: employee stock, stock options, deferred compensation, 401k plans, and defined benefit plans. Ross helps clients navigate their compensation and benefits, and advises them on their investments, assets, and businesses.

    Passionate about investing and educating others, Ross set out for a career where he could do both. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in the Global Wealth Management Division. Ross then moved on to work at a tax firm in London that serviced multinational individuals. In 2014, Ross joined Cutler and Andrews Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, now Merritt Point Wealth Advisors, where he focused on developing and implementing custom-tailored investment strategies for the group’s clients. Ross led the development of the Alternative Investments Platform at Cutler Andrews Capital Management, now Merritt Point Wealth Advisors. Ross has been a guest lecturer at NYU Stern School of Business, where he educated MBA students on investment strategies and risk management.

    Ross grew up in the town of Cheshire, a small town in the New Haven County of Connecticut.  He is an avid golfer and snowboarder, and a former high-school and college lacrosse player. Ross sits on the Next Generation Board of the Anti-Defamation League, New York Region.  Additionally, Ross serves as an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. 

    Ross is a graduate of the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, with a B.A. in Economics. He resides in the Upper East Side of New York City.
