Alex Mills is the Vice President and Head of Operations at Merritt Point Wealth Advisors, where he leads the team’s operational strategy, focusing on optimizing workflows, improving processes, and helping to ensure the efficient execution of daily operations. Alex is dedicated to streamlining operational functions and aligning them with the team’s overarching goals, all while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining compliance across the practice.

Before stepping into his current role, Alex served as a Portfolio Associate at Merritt Point, where he was responsible for researching investments, executing trades, and conducting in-depth market research and analysis. His work supported the team’s investment strategies, helping to inform decision-making and optimize portfolio performance. This experience gave Alex a strong foundation and expertise in the detail focused environment of wealth management.

Alex holds a degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance from Ithaca College. He also gained international experience by studying and working at the University of Sydney, where he deepened his understanding of global financial practices and operational strategies.

Alex, originally from Rochester, New York, new resides in Stamford, CT with his wife, Andrea, whom he met at their alma mater, Ithaca College. Outside of the office, you will often find him, playing guitar, hiking the Hudson River Valley with his dog Cooper, and taking trips to visit family in Puerto Rico. He is also an avid sports fan following Arsenal FC, the Buffalo Sabres, and the Chicago Cubs.
